Truskawki powtarzające owocowanie

Długie i obfite owocowanie znacznie osłabia sadzonki truskawek, co może doprowadzić do zamierania niektórych z nich. Podłoże, w którym rosną również ubożeje w składniki mineralne. Owoce, a co za tym idzie zbiory owoców z krzewów truskawek, są zdecydowanie mniejsze już w drugim roku od posadzenia, dlatego wskazana jest wymiana roślin co 1-2 lata. Wszystkie truskawki mogą rozmnażać się generatywnie i wegetatywnie. Rozmnażanie generatywne odbywa się poprzez zapylenie kwiatów i wysiew nasion z powstałych owoców. Rozmnażanie generatywne to odrosty, tzw. wąsy, które wyrastają u podstawy rośliny macierzystej. Ta druga metoda pozwala na łatwe i szybkie pozyskanie wielu nowych roślin, które będą miniaturowymi kopiami macierzystej truskawki. Wyrastające wąsy przysypuje się delikatnie ziemią, a gotowe, ukorzenione sadzonki przesadza na nowe miejsce we wrześniu.

Wysiew nasion jest dosyć kłopotliwe i wymaga pewnego doświadczenia. Przed wysiewem nasiona muszą zostać poddane procesowi stratyfikacji, czyli przemrożenia. Można umieścić je na kilka dni w lodówce. Aby siewki wydały owoce jeszcze w danym roku, nasiona wysiewa się w lutym i dodatkowo doświetla specjalnymi lampami. Młode truskawki wysiane z nasion w marcu i kwietniu nie będą potrzebowały dodatkowego doświetlania, ale wydadzą owoce dopiero w kolejnym sezonie.

Młode sadzonki truskawek można sadzić zarówno wiosną, jak i jesienią. Pierwszy, wiosenny termin sadzenia jest wskazany dla wschodnich i południowych regionów kraju, a zarówno wiosna, jak i jesienią może sadzić do gruntu zachodnia, centralna i północna część kraju. Sadząc truskawki jesienią, należy mieć na uwadze to, że rośliny muszą mieć czas na uformowanie silnego systemu korzeniowego przed nadejściem zimy. Dlatego prace powinno się prowadzić od początku września do połowy października. Najlepiej, gdy miejsce naszej plantacji będzie zlokalizowane na płaskim i dobrze oświetlonym terenie. Dobrze czują się na stanowiskach, na których wcześniej rosły: czosnek, nagietki, rośliny strączkowe, buraki, marchewka. Niewskazane jest po pomidorach, ogórkach, kapuście, ziemniakach czy malinach.

Truskawki wymagają gleby lekkich, żyznych, gliniastych lub gliniasto-piaszczystych o odczynie obojętnym lub lekko kwaśnym. Najlepiej, gdy truskawki będą sadzone na niewielkich zagonach, gdyż wniesienie skutecznie odprowadzi nadmiar wody z okolicy systemu korzeniowego. Miejsce uprawy truskawek nawozi się materią organiczną: (wiadro kompostu lub próchnicy na każdy 1m2) i popiołem drzewnym (szklanka na 1 m2). Podłoże należy przygotować przynajmniej na miesiąc przed sadzeniem roślin. Każdy dołek pod sadzonki musi być szerszy i dłuższy od systemu korzeniowego, aby korzenie swobodnie rozłożyły się na jego dnie i nie zawijały pod spód. Spulchnij podłoże znajdujące się na dnie dołka, podlej je, dołóż warstwę żyznej gleby, umieść sadzonkę truskawki i wypełnił pozostałą przestrzeń przygotowaną mieszanką żyznej ziemi. Delikatnie ugnieć glebę wokół roślin, aby usunąć powietrze z poszczególnych jej warstw. ‘’Serce’’ truskawki, czyli miejsce z którego wyrastają liście musi znajdować się nad powierzchnią gleby. Po posadzeniu młode rośliny obficie się podlewa i ściółkuję np. skoszoną trawą, słomą, liśćmi drzew czy agrowłokiną.

Podlewanie

Truskawki powtarzające owocowanie są bardzo wymagające, jeśli chodzi o podlewanie oraz nawożenie. Nie oszczędzaj wody młodym sadzonkom, wierzchnia warstwa gleby powinna być stale delikatnie wilgotna. Dobrym sposobem oszczędzającym czas i wodę jest zastosowanie nawadniania kroplowego. W tej metodzie rośliny otrzymują niewielką ilość wody przez cały czas bezpośrednio pod korzenie. Zraszanie truskawek jest niewskazane, gdyż może prowadzić do występowania chorób grzybowych.

Nawożenie

W zależności od długości trwania sezonu i odmian, truskawki powtarzające owocowanie należy nawozić 8-10 razy. Pierwsze wiosenne nawożenie powinno się wykonać od razu po ustąpieniu mrozów. Sadzonki muszą otrzymać dawkę nawozu azotowego, co pobudzi je do wzrostu i rozwoju części nadziemnej: liści i pędów. Podczas zawiązywania pąków i kwitnienia, a także owocowania rośliny potrzebują potasu i fosforu. Należy wtedy stosować specjalistyczne nawozy doglebowe lub dolistne przeznaczone dla truskawek. W okresie letnim sprawdzają się nawozy organiczne z ptasich odchodów tzw. gnojówka. Przed nawożeniem rozcieńcza się nawóz z wodą w proporcji 1:15.
